USB-Blocker now with Role Management
iSM, as only supplier in the market, offers to its mass storage security solution
(USB-Blocker) an automatically and rule based assignment of authorizations
for external and internal hardware, by roles.
Since 10 years the Institut für System-Management develops the
bi-Cube®
product family. The center of this product family is a central authorizations
management. By this Identity & Provisioning Management
( bi-Cube® IPM),
authorizations of all employees (e.g. user name and password), for diverse systems,
programs or applications are automatically assigned.
The prominent function of this system is a perfected role
management. This role management may be integrated into the as stand alone
developed product, USB-Blocker.
Generally roles in a system are used to summarize same authorizations of
employees (e.g. employees of one branch). A role concept enables therefore a
clear and structural assignment of authorization profiles and is optimally
arranged in the setup and process organization of a company! This results in a
high security level and additional reduction of the administration process.
The roles are centralized defined and decentralized assigned to the employee,
according to his task competence. The employee will automatically become a member
of an active directory or Novell directory group. and will receive all authorizations
important to him.
An additional advantage is an extensive
bi-Cube® - based
analysis and log function in the new USB-Blocker. With help of a
log viewer, all localized log data is analysed. The results are accessed by a
Web-application. The analysis may be send by an automatically generated e-mail
in the known csv or txt format.
Various new functions are available to the administrator by the connection of
USB-Blocker to the Identity & Provisioning Management
bi-Cube®.
