The iSM supports the Magistrat of Vienna
in language providing for school beginners

Already two years ago the iSM (Institut für System-Management Rostock) adapted its product bi-Cube^® for the school administration “Stadtschulrat” in Vienna in such a way, that it is possible to administer 300,000 students and 12,000 teachers with a central database. Furthermore the career of every student is included and available for central analysis. Via accordant intelligent interfaces a bidirectional data synchronisation to the individual school administration systems, used in the individual schools, is realised. Via intranet student data of the central database can be used by the schools, too.

Based on this established and productive running system the iSM has provided an enlargement currently, which enables to deposit the necessity of language promotion of coming school beginners at the database.

A further program component is drawn up on this. Therewith it is possible to arrange these school beginners in accordant language promotion courses of pre-defined and even to control this whole process. The technical particularity of this solution exists in the following:

If a headteacher in Vienna considers a student for necessary to promote his language, all data are transmitted automatically to the system at iSM. The administration by the authorised employees at the several service points of the Vienna kindergartens is done directly via web in this system, which is hosted by iSM.

This service is the first productive application of the iSM security software, which enables to provide the program functions on any arbitrary pc in the world in such a way that every user gets exactly fitted authorisations, which are modelled in accordant roles. The assignment of roles in the kindergartens is realised by local administrator's role in the individual departments. The relevant data and first of all whose transmission via web is protected against unauthorised access and manipulation by the integrated specialised codification algorithm and an anti Phishing procedure. Authentication of employees with safety critical roles is realised by a biometric token, developed by iSM, too.

The staffs of the “Magistrat Wien” and the service points at the Vienna kindergartens as well are able to work with the iSM system secure and comfortable, as if it would run in their own office.
