Nationale Initiative für Internet-Sicherheit (NIFIS e.V.)

The NIFIS (Nationale Initiative für Internet-Sicherheit e.V.) is the German initiative for internet seccurity which mainly deals with risks resulting from the internet. Under the umbrella of the NIFIS the Kuppinger Cole & Partner task group for generic process models (GPM) has founded a competence centre, in order to develop a process model for IPM processes. The work group containes both vendors and operators and deals with the topic GPM technically and also scientitfically. Therewith enterprise processes which are similar or identic are evaluated and unique abstract concepts are determined.

As a member of the NIFIS and founder member of this competence centre the iSM has been already able to contribute its long-run experiences and its knowledge. For example the description of GPMs standardised by the iSM were accepted from the task group as a basis. Further the iSM was able to dispose standard processes for the additional operations of the competence centre.
