IPM Business Lunch
Welcome to the review to the IPM Business Lunch in Hamburg

At 13th April 2010 the iSM (iSM Institut für System-Management in Rostock) invited visitors to a workshop around the topic Identity & Provisioning Management in Hamburg. Generali Deutschland Informatik Services GmbH kindly provides the stage for the half-day. We would therefore like to extend our thanks to the company for the excellent organization and assistance.

The Generali Deutschland Informatik Services GmbH (central full-service IT-Service-Provider of the Generali Deutschland Group with 14 allied companies) and the companies of the Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. are the oldest customers and partner of iSM They started before 8 years with the assignment of ZUM (Central User Management), which is the previous version of meanwhile significant optimized and functionally complemented actual version bi-Cube® 7.

We would like to thank the host especially for his practice-oriented user report which demonstrates the HOW and WHY, that is the specific work in daily user and rights management, the benefit and the past successes of the application of the tool in the Generali insurance company: task, specific organizational requirements, problem areas and stumbling blocks and the more planned development.

Anyhow this event focused the IdM-using (Identity Management using) into a large international insurance company so the mainly organizational-strategically challenges are of general nature and cross-industrial which the company has to impose while implementation and realisation of an IdM (especially at mapping of business processes). As best present representatives of different industries (insurance companies, banks, financial institutions business travel management, clinic association, facility management, public sector) could take a fair impression and some suggestion along for their specific areas.

At break times during lectures and discussions, at joint concluding lunch in the canteen of the Generali and in the following relaxed round the participants who were 10 representatives of IdM business and expert environment and 15 representatives of 11 companies from the circle of user and interested people could gather experiences and change information.

On these sides you find the agenda, relevant documentation about Identity Management and a summary of the results of the Business Lunch.
