Identity & Provisioning Management

At 13th April 2010 invited iSM to a workshop around the topic Identity & Provisioning Management (IPM) in Hamburg.

Mr. Matthias Lange who was the group leader of the SC-d Management from the host Generali Deutschland Informatik Services GmbH (GDIS) opened the event with his prelude for roundly 25 participants. First he delivered a short insight into history, position of the GDIS within the concern and their radius of action and core competencies.

 


Afterwards Prof. Dr. Dr. Gerd Rossa, who is the CEO of iSM showed a bi-Cube® IPM software solution with individual stages of development and how bi-Cube® IPM developed in last 12 years. He demonstrates the current technological and functional level and the future trend (demand for SaaS, improvement in training, support of customers, implementations of the finding from the real project work).

He further elucidated the special product strengths of bi-Cube® IPM (integrated process and role model and the large latitude of function).



Following the demonstration of Prof. Dr. Dr. Gerd Rossa Mr. Matthias Lange explained:
   the features of the GDIS-strategy (responsibility, service delivery, service orientation)
  main features and driver in the fields of service processes (targets for end user and customer) and
    compliance (traceability, auditing, risk management, data protection)

 operative and supportive subprocesses (used process models and master data roles,
    access management)

 the development of IdM in GDIS in particular phases from project launch till the operation
    

After followed Mrs. Anette Zimmermann (Process Specialist SC-d Management) with presentations about:

  necessity and special requirement on well functioning master data management in regard to persons,
   organizational structure and locations (theme “High system integration in a complex and historical grown
   corporate structure, constant changing network of service providers in a living concern, pressure to rapid
   reaction if a large number of changes in the organizational structure/ new system and restructuring of
   existing organizational units in operative works etc.)

  the impressive GDIS master data flow model (map) in summary and in detail as an example
    “internal staff access”

  sorts of restraints at prober and contemporary purchasing of master data of various sources/ systems/
    organizational units

  improvements with regard to…
      - data quality (enforcement of naming concepts, disclosure of infringements, economization by reducing
        of master data foster homes, implementation of plausibility checks)
      - support during exit process internal and external staff
      - organized implementation of OE-Changes
      - implemented role model at Generali.

Concluding Mr. Lange titled the factors of success and premises at the realized IdM at Generali:

  implementation of a integrated IT-strategy
  creation of transparency and compliance
  internal marketing and employee motivation as an instrument for success
  orientation toward processes and services
  principle of responsibility for information assets
  separation of professional and technical administration
  definite personalization of every user identification
  definite settings of master data for every person
